One way to negotiate is to ask a local resident on how much they would generally pay for the taxi from their job and that location. ADO buses is a first class bus that passengers can ride on from the Cancun Airport to Cancun, Tulum, and Playa del Carmen. The ADO buses are comfortable, have air conditioning, and many of them show a movie during the ride. Passengers can purchase tickets for any travel for the same day.

Mayab Buses

The Mayab buses are a second class bus that stop at many stops, which include Puerto Morelos. Passengers can purchase tickets a day in advance to travel on the Mayab buses.

Playa Express

The Playa Express is another bus travel in Cancun that cost less than the ADO bus. The Playa Express bus is a great choice for passengers heading to Playa del Carmen, because the bus runs every twenty minutes and not a lot of suitcases.

White vans are known as Colectivos in Cancun. Sometimes they have advertizing on them and are therefore not white. The Colectivos run from Cancun then travels to Playa del Carmen. The Colectivos are very cheap to travel on, which is great for those who are on a tight budget, but they are a very uncomfortable way to travel. Passengers can grab a Colectivo to Puerto Juarez for the same price of a ferry to Isla Mujeres.
